Preperation of the base on which Solid parquet installed

- Cement Base: has to be tight, dry, bulked, hard and 3-6 cm, thick. Hardness will be controlled by rubbing a hard material. No track or dust should be formed during rubbing.
- The cracks formed drying or the base (excluding the little ones) have to be repaired.
- The surface of the cement base has to be clean and the paint, pitch and cement remains on the surface of the cement base have to be removed by using steel spatula.
- The level differences on the cement base may be avoided by using a 2 meters long lath on the base on various direction. Level differences should not exceed 3 mm.
- The cement base should not be excessively shaggy in order to praent from excessive consumption of adhesives. The defective surfaces may be evened with levelling base prepared by chemicals not containing water.
- The base has to be cleaned with acid first in case of flooring wooden parquet on bases mode of materials like stone parquet or marble etc. After the acid treatment a precoating with double components will be applied and after this a special base filling will be applied and it will be waited to get dry.
- In case of flooring parquets over formen parquets then these have to be peeled in order to remove their polish.
- At floor heating systems, after the drying of the base the water at heating serpentines will wait at 30-35°C for 2-3 days. The target temperature will be reached with 3-5°C steps after completing the flooring. It has to be taken into consideration that the parquets at the base do have a certain heat transfer features and the limit of 30-35°C not be exceeded.

Installation methods

- Primer Method: This a reliable and economic method. Primers will be applied after the drying of the first one (5 hours). After the second layer gets dry than flooring will be done with adhesives which do not contain water. The primer makes the base harder, stabilises the possible dust and provides humidity isolation. The length of the parquet should be 120 cm for this method.
- Nailing Method: This method should definitely be used for flooring of parquet over 120 cm length. It is applied as nailing the parquet to the skeleton replaced in the base and adhering to the base. The skeletons have to be replaced in the base with 25-30 cm intervals. The skeletons have to be dry and must be prepared as equilateral trapezoid instead of straight pieces. The thickness of the base and the thicknes of the skeleton have to be equal. Parquets will be replaced in 90°C angles to the skeleton.
- Other methods: In order to provide faster drying of the base and partial humidity isolation flooring will be performed by mixing sawdust to the base material. The may be floored after replacing fibreboard, MDF, plywood or preparing wood construction of the base. Moreover plastic based materials may be adhered on the base and parquet may be placed on these.
- Direct Adhering Method: May be applied by using direct adhesive if the base is even and hard. This is less prepared when comparing with primer and nailing methods. Though this is less suggested when compared with primer land nailing methods, this method is being used extensively.

Key points about installation

- The water system has to be controlled and all leakage have to be avoided.
- The temperature of the place of flooring should not below 5°C.
- All construction works except last layer of paint have to be completed.
- The joinery pieces and windows have to be replaced (In order to provide the balance for the moisture of the place).
- The parquets have to present at the place they will be floored in order to balance the moisture of the place and the parquets before flooring. The nylon packing should be torn to provide breathing.
- Polyurethane adhesives should be preferred.
- Water based and solvent based adhesives should not be used.
- The parquets with massive length should be applied parallel to the length of the place.
- Peeling and polishing should be performed minimum 2 weeks after laying.
- 1.5-2 cm. space have to be left to the wall.
- Fastidious and expert teams have to be used for laying.

Sanding and Varnishing

- Sanding and polishing
- The following sequence has to followed at sanding:
First sanding has to be done with thick emery (#40-60 sand)
Second sanding with less thicker emery (#80-100 sand)
Third sanding with the thin emery (#120-180 sand).
- A last grinding has to be applied with #120 emery after paste application.
- The dust on the surface has to carefully cleaned after last grinding. Filling varnish will be applied and the surface will be cleaned again.
- 3-4 layers polish will be applied with roll brush.

Care of your parquet

- Replace plastic protectors under the furniture in order to avoid scratching.
- Should be cleaned with vacum cleaner and wipe with slightly moistured cloth.
- Most attention has to be taken not to pour liquid on the parquet. If it happens, the surface must immediately be wiped with dried cloth.
- With peeling and polishing process, you may have the vision of your parquets as same as the first days.

Guarantee

All works starting from the selection of the raw materials up to production and quality control are being followed by experts, The Forestry and Foresty Industrial Engineers. Our parquets is dried in our computerized kiln drying rooms at 8% that is the accepted moisture by all The World Standart Organisations. The trimming under surfaces of the parquets produced by DACO provides good adhere to the base-floor and prevent curving. *Moreover the trims under surface may compansate some of the floor surface defects. The parquets purchased from DACO are guaranteed. The broken, cracked planks and/or planks which do not fit their quality classification, which might be missed during grading, can be changed with new ones. Problems regarding laying process and laying finished planks are excluded of guarantee.
